Viksy Dean has been with Epsom Hospital Radio since May 2025.

Viksy Dean is currently one of the Epsom Hospital Radio trainees and is hoping to get his show up and running very soon.

What's your favourite genre of music?
I am a lover of all types of music but I would say 80 Soul gets my blood flowing.

When you're not at Epsom Hospital Radio, what are you doing?
I work in communications as a Civil Servant during the day. However I am a busy Dad for the majority of the time for my two beautiful daughters who keep me on my toes.

If you had £1,000,000 to spend on yourself and no-one else what would you spend it on?
Oooh, I think would want to buy a football club and take them them to the premier league.

What is your ideal holiday destination?
I have travelled around a bit and I would say I can't beat my trips to Thailand. Food is just fab, everything is so cheap and the weather...

What is your favourite film?
There is a few but if there was one film I can watch over and over again its "My Cousin Vinny" with Joe Pesci.

What is your favourite TV programme?
Well I never miss Match of the Day on Saturday nights!

Who is your favourite comedian/comedians?
Romesh Ranganathan.

Who is your favourite sports team/star?
My beloved Liverpool FC.

What is your favourite drink?
I love a Caramel Latte.

What is your favourite food?
You can't beat a well constructed Burger!

What inspires you?
People who come from nothing or difficult backgrounds and impact the world.

Middle name?
I don't have a middle name actually.

Star sign?
Taurus.

Weird & wonderful talents?
I have somehow found a way to click an ear! All shapes and sizes can be done!! I love the microphone and can speak all day to the public!

Most treasured belongings?
Apart from my family (Wife and two kids), I cannot live without my phone.

Favourite smell?
Hot fresh bread baking in the oven!

What was the Number 1 single on the day you were born?
In the UK it was Rivers of Babylon by Boney M. Also in Australia it was Stayin Alive by the Bee Gees. Two all time greats for a special person :-)

What record drives you mad when you hear it?
This has to be Gangnam style by PSY. I just never get why people go mad for it as all I can hear is noise!

What is your favourite album?
There are definitely a few from different genres but if I had to pick one that I could take with me anywhere, it would have to be Bob Marley’s - Exodus from 1977.

Have you met anyone famous and if so, under what circumstances?
I met my hero – John Barnes, a Liverpool Football club legend. This was part of a football coaching course which I undertook many years ago. He could still play even then at the age of 45.

Who is your favourite radio presenter?
I would say I like Jim White from Talk Sport Radio, I enjoy the banter and prodding questions he asks regarding sports.

Apart from your current partner, who would be your ideal dinner date and why?
Wow, a tough one. I would think this would be Julia Roberts. Of course, I have never met her, but she comes across as very elegant and down to earth. I think she and I would get on well.

If you were marooned on a desert island, what would be the items you'd need most?
My phone, my TV with (access to channels/On demand apps of course) and a coffee machine. I think I would survive.
